Kevin McCauley is a software developer and technical consultant with 40 years of hands-on development and consulting experience. He has passed 28 Microsoft certification exams — including Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD) and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) — and holds Novell Certified Network Engineer (CNE) certification, alongside computer science studies.

His technical depth spans 40 years of Microsoft Excel, including advanced automation with VBA, and expert database work across relational systems (DB2/400, Microsoft SQL Server, SQLite) and NoSQL (Couchbase). For the past four years he has worked with AI daily — three years building AI-assisted VBA solutions in Excel with ChatGPT, and the last six months developing native Mac and iPhone applications with Anthropic’s Claude and SQLite.

Through SwingEasy Labs, LLC, Kevin designs and ships native Mac and iPhone apps — including SwingEasy Loop, SwingKey, and Series 65 Study, with more in development — building daily with Anthropic’s Claude. In the last six months that has meant more than 5,000 commits and over 500,000 lines of Swift and Python: a first-hand demonstration of how much a seasoned developer paired with AI can deliver.

Selected work

• Developed a refueling outage schedule application with dBASE IV and AutoCAD for Palo Verde Nuclear Generating Station.
• Prototyped a toll-collection system using Synon on DB2/400 at Lockheed.
• Built the original Microsoft Support Dashboard using Active Server Pages (server-side scripting) with Microsoft SQL Server.
• Developed CoSell, an end-to-end sales-engagement tracking system, in Swift and SQLite for Mac at IBM (Red Hat).
